Vertical Blinds
The right answer for patio doors and wide sliding glass.
Vertical blinds remain the most practical solution for sliding patio doors and oversized glass walls — vanes stack to one side instead of lifting overhead, so there's no upper limit on how tall or wide the opening can be. We've modernized the format with wider fabric vanes and quieter, smoother traversing hardware.
Why choose vertical blinds
No height limit
Because vanes traverse side to side rather than lifting up, floor-to-ceiling glass and oversized doors are no problem.
Fabric and PVC vane options
Choose textured fabric vanes for a softer, more residential look or PVC for high-moisture or heavy-traffic commercial spaces.
Smooth-glide track
Upgraded ball-bearing carriers replace the noisy, sticking tracks people associate with older vertical blinds.
Stack left, right, or split
Configure the vanes to stack to either side or split from the centre, matching how the door actually gets used.
Why patio doors still call for verticals
A roller or cellular shade lifts vertically, which means its maximum size is capped by how much fabric can stack at the top or bottom without becoming bulky or slow to operate. Vertical blinds have no such ceiling — the vane length only matters for weight, not stacking — which is why they're still the standard answer for 8-, 10-, and 12-foot sliding doors.
Not the vertical blind you remember
The vertical blinds most people picture are from the 90s: narrow PVC vanes on a track that sticks and rattles. We install wider fabric vanes on ball-bearing carriers, which glide quietly and hang straighter, plus a wand or cordless wand-and-chain combination that's genuinely comfortable to operate daily.
Commercial applications
For offices and storefronts with floor-to-ceiling glazing, verticals remain a durable, cost-effective option — PVC vanes hold up to daily traffic and cleaning, and the traverse mechanism is rated for heavier, more frequent use than most residential shades.
What our clients say
“The whole process from measuring to install was fast and professional. Our living room blinds fit perfectly and the price was better than two other quotes we got.”

Common questions
The format gets a bad reputation from older, narrow-vane PVC versions. Modern fabric vertical blinds on smooth-glide tracks are a completely different (and still genuinely useful) product for wide glass and patio doors.
