A blind that behaves like a curtain
Shangri-La blinds were designed to bridge horizontal blinds and drapery — you get the precise tilt control of a Venetian blind, but because the vanes are fabric and suspended between two sheers, the light that comes through is diffused rather than banded. In practice, that means a room lit by a Shangri-La blind feels softer and less 'blinded' even at midday.
