Motorized roller shades across a wall of view glass, controlled from a single app alongside the home's other smart-home systems.
A wall of glass facing the water meant standard hardware wasn't an option — we specced hardwired motorized roller shades in a solar screen fabric, run on the same automation hub as the home's lighting so shades lower automatically as the sun tracks across the glazing in the afternoon.
A separate garden-level patio door was covered with fabric vertical blinds on a smooth-glide track, matched in tone to the roller shade fabric above.
